The following is a list of cats and kittens that are currently available for adoption. Click the photo to see a larger picture of the cat. 

Before calling about a cat you are interested in, please note that each cat or kitten is being fostered by a special volunteer. You will see that person's name and phone number with that cat's description. Please call or email THAT person directly. Please do not email Hilltop Humane Society to adopt cats as the emails to Hilltop may not be answered fast enough. Thank you!

 Mike & Ike are brothers, about 5 months old.  Rescued from outside their foster moms home.  They are doing remarkably well.  They will let you pet them and they will lie in your lap.  They get along well with other cats.  They love to play and both sleep on the bed all night.  One has short hair and the other is medium haired.   We would like them to stay together, but not necessary.

Fergie is a VERY friendly female cat about 1 year old.  She is black/white with medium hair and a beautiful bushy tail.  She was left behind when her owner moved.  She is so sweet and will follow you around for attention.  She was picked up by the wild life control and would have been put to sleep it we did not take her.  Needs a good home forever. Sweet Pea - 1.5 year old black female.  Found outside with her babies. She was left behind by her owner according to a neighbor.  She is still nursing her 2 babies and will be spayed mid October.  She is the sweetest cat and that's how she got her name, Sweet Pea.  She has an oriental look to her face. Meet Cheetah!  He is named after the spotted African cat. His thick fur of brown spots and stripes makes him adorable. If you are looking for a real cuddly teddy bear, then Cheetah is yours! He will joyfully greet you each time with purrs and entertain you when playing.   He is about 6 months old, an indoor kitty and ready to give and receive love.  Cheetah also has other siblings: 6 mths old - Boys are Black with gold eyes, Black with splashes of cream, white/grey - Girls are Tabby, grey/white, Torte who has half black and half orange face.  All very friendly lap cats. Timothy is 1 1/2 years old. He is large and has very handsome markings. He is shy when you first meet him but, will adapt with patience. He has been at the shelter 6 mths and need a good home. He does well with other cats. To meet him call Doris @ 781 963-7289 or dorisqf@comcast.net

            Ying - 3 year old orange tabby rescued from a house fire.  The owners could not keep him because they lost their home.  He is currently in a foster home and doing very well.  He loves attention and will follow you around.  He was tested negative and had his shots updated.  Contact Doris @ 781 963-7289 or

     Rescued from a house fire! Homes needed! There was a house fire and these cats were left behind. They were still in the house and one was seen in the window.  The couple can not keep them because they are staying in a small trailer. Nosey (orange tabby in the middle photo) is about 2 years old and  Pokey (White/orange) is about 7 years old. If you can find a place for any of these cats contact Doris: dorisqf@comcast.net. 3 year old Buddy was left behind when his owner moved. He is so gentle and very friendly. A neighbor took him in for 3 weeks and could not keep him because pets are not allowed. They loved him and asked if we could help find him a good home. We had him tested, vacinated and neutered 12/4/07. He is ready for a good home. Devita is about 4 years old and a very sweet and a lucky girl. She is so friendly and loves to sit on your lap. She was rescued after her siblings were killed by predators. She was the fortunate one rescued in time. Call Doris @781 963-7289 or dorisqf@comcast.net

Valentino is a good natured cat who's left leg was badly injured and the vet did not think he would survive. He was featured in our November 2006 Newsletter requesting donations to assist with his care. He is now ready to be adopted. He is a large DLH very handsome cat.                                                                               Oreo is a 2 year old black and white female. She was found near a dumpster with several feral cats and was being fed for several mths. She did not mix with the other cats and was always distant from them. When we went to get her up we found her to be very friendly and just picked her up. She was either lost or an abandoned pet. She was spayed 4/08, tested and vacinated. Gigi is a grey/white female born 8/7/07. She is spayed and has all her shots. Would do well in a quiet home by herself or with one other cat. About our cats: 

Adult cats:  Most adult cats have been spayed or neutered. All adults have been vet-checked, wormed, vaccinated,  and tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia.  Adult cats are up to date on all vaccinations. 

Kittens:  Kittens have been vet-checked, wormed, vaccinated and tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia and have received their first vaccinations.  If the kitten is of age, it may already have been spayed or neutered. If the kitten is not old enough to be spayed or neutered upon adoption, you must have the surgery done.  See below for more details under "Adoption Fees."


One low cost resource for spaying and neutering services for low income situations is The STOP Clinic Van: Charges: $70 for neutering surgery (males), and $80 for spay surgery (females). These fees include a physical exam, rabies vaccination with certificate. Distemper vaccination (FVRCP) is an additional $5.
